Dr. Alexis, DVM
Dr. Alexis D’Souza knew she wanted to become a veterinarian from a young age. Her love for veterinary medicine began in middle school when she welcomed Priscilla, her beloved pet rabbit, into her family. Caring for Priscilla when she was sick and accompanying her to veterinary visits inspired Dr. Alexis to pursue a career dedicated to helping animals of all shapes and sizes.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University before earning her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Alexis is passionate about public health, rehabilitation and pain management, and partnering with pet owners to find the best care plan for each individual patient.
At home, Dr. Alexis has two cats, Buster and Earl Gray Boots, who keep her entertained and well on her way to becoming a cat lady! Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, reading, cooking, and traveling. Dr. Alexis is excited to be part of the team at Trooper Veterinary Hospital and looks forward to getting to know the area, its pets, and the community.
