Thank You, Canine Blood Donors!
Trooper Vet is proud to partner with Penn Animal Blood Bank to host a canine blood drive site several times a year. We wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Drochek family for their commitment to the Penn Animal Blood Drive. This past summer, the handsome Drochek "brothers" all hit big milestones in the blood donor program!
Pictured with their mom, Julie, from left to right are the generous canine blood donors:
Oslo, who is now officially retired after donating 1 1/2 gallons.
Dublin, who is now a member of The Gallon Club.
Boulder, who is now a member of The Two Gallon Club!
Could your dog be a lifesaving hero by becoming a blood donor?
To be eligible to be a blood donor, your dog must be between one and six years old, weigh at least 55 pounds, have a good temperament, be in overall excellent health, and not be on any medications (other than heartworm preventative and flea/tick control). Does your dog meet those criteria? Then we want to talk to you! Please contact us at 610-539-6820 to speak to Karen, our veterinary nurse and director of Trooper Vet's blood drive for further evaluation for the canine blood donor program. Looking ahead, our next blood drive will be held on Saturday, November 21st.
